1. Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small values a browser can send with requests. Local storage keeps values in your browser for a particular website. Maiar Insights currently uses local storage for appearance preferences and session continuity. These items support the website and demo; they are not advertising trackers.
The current website does not include advertising cookies, advertising pixels, or optional third-party behavioral analytics scripts. Hosting or security infrastructure may process technical request information to deliver and protect the site, as described in the Privacy Policy.
2. What is stored in your browser
Appearance preferences — maiar.theme.preference, maiar.theme.marketing, and maiar.theme: remember your selected light or dark appearance. These local-storage values persist until you change them or clear site data; they do not have a fixed automatic expiry.
Session continuity — maiar.session: remembers guest access or, for a signed-in account, its session token, expiry, name, email, and role. Signing out removes the stored session. Expired account sessions are cleared when the application checks them; a guest indicator may remain until you sign out or clear site data. Do not share session data or tokens with anyone.
Demo agreement receipt — maiar.legal.acceptance: stores a random receipt identifier, policy version, and acceptance time for up to 365 days. It is checked when the application opens and must be renewed after expiry or a policy-version change. Clearing site data removes it and requires acceptance again. It is not an authentication credential or an advertising identifier.
Contact form entries are sent to the server only when you submit the form. The Contact form does not deliberately persist unsent entries in local storage. Your browser may independently retain information through its autofill features.
3. Your controls
Use the theme toggle to change appearance and Sign out to end a stored session. Your browser's privacy or site-data settings can clear or block local storage and cookies. Clearing site data resets preferences and may sign you out. It does not delete inquiries already submitted to Maiar Insights; use the Privacy Policy contact method to request deletion of those records.
Storage is specific to the website address. If you visit both maiarinsights.com and www.maiarinsights.com, your browser may maintain separate settings and sessions for them. Clearing one address's site data may not clear the other's.
The website does not change its functional storage in response to a Do Not Track signal. It does not sell or share information for cross-context behavioral advertising, including when Global Privacy Control is enabled. If optional tracking is introduced later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before that tracking is enabled.
